Diamonds are expensive gems that you would not be buying very often. So, an utmost care of the precious stones is a must once you have bought them as an investment tool for future or in the studded form in jewelry like rings and pendants. Though, a feature of diamonds is that they are the hardest substance and can only be damaged when hit by another diamond, still some other types of damages can occur to them. While there is no fear of a diamond being parted in two by hitting it, but a slight chip of it can be sliced if very heavy pressure is apply on it. So, avoid such accidental damages.
We suggest that you select a setting that gives complete protection to the diamond when it is studded on a ring metal or any other jewelry. This is true specially for working ladies who have to wear the rings of diamonds on finger
You must also keep the diamond away from daily use chemicals like hairspray and chlorine as its gradual accumulation on the diamond surface has the potential to discolor the gem to certain extent
Right method of cleaning your diamonds Do not just rub the diamonds by any ordinary cloth or material to clean them as you will be inflicting some damages to the stone this way. A proper technique is to first make a solution from ammonia having one part of it and six parts of water. Apply the solution on the diamond and whole of the jewelry and gently rub it by hand. This solution will help enhance and restore the brilliance and shine of the diamond.
How to store It is also equally crucial to store the diamond and diamond jewelry properly for its longer life. We suggest that each such jewelry and stone should be wrapped carefully in soft cloth, preferably a pouch of it. This will prevent contact of jewelry with the other ornaments for avoiding scratches. This way, the jewelries will remain brilliantly shining for longer duration.
